One of the most iconic buildings in the landscape of downtown Lancaster, the W.W. Griest Building is an example of the transformational architecture that ensures visitors feel enveloped in the heart of the small towns that make Pennsylvania, and the United States more widely, feel charming and magical.

Constructed between 1924 and 1925, the building was designed by C. Emlen Urban in the Italian Renaissance Revival style out of steel, limestone, terracotta, and granite. Registered on the National Register of Historic Places on 25 June 1995, the building currently hosts a variety of office spaces for downtown businesses.

Standing as the second-tallest building in Lancaster, the W.W. Griest Building towers over Penn Square and is an unmissable opportunity to appreciate local history.

The restaurant was clean, and the polite staff loved the flatbread pizzas. Drinks are delicious, especially old-fashioned.

We stayed on the ground floor during first Friday, there was a group of guys doing break dancing on a mat that they brought with them, they were really good & cool to watch.

Not our most famous building, but great architectural landmark worth checking out - helps that it is right by central market and the tourist center as well
