Indian Scout Tractor Seat Issues
Ordered a tractor seat for an Indian Scout. Had issues with the install of this, not very cheap, seat. Yes, they responded via email, not addressing my issues, just saying this is how we do it. The email seemed very automated, "We are sorry you are having a problem installing the springs". Never addressed the incomplete instructions I received. I was not able to get anyone on the phone to talk to. Said you need to order this other part, no offer of a discount. Ordered the other part to try to make it work, we'll see once it arrives.
I've been researching this seat for years, going back and forth. Wish I had not ordered, since they have a no refund policy. Which, in fairness, I knew going in.
Did get a call back from Carey and had a nice chat. We'll try the new springs and see what happens. The return call was a nice surprise.
Got the new springs. Thankfully I think they did credit me for the price of the longer springs. All I can say is installing this on an Indian Scout is a mother. I'm really not looking forward to removing and reinstalling it for battery/coolant/fuse servicing.
Once we got to communicating, their service was very good, just have issues with the design. A larger cutout in the pan for the fender bolt might help some. For the 3" springs, just find yourself a child that can follow instructions and has small fingers.
It does look great on the Scout, if you're going for a vintage look. Can't report on comfort at this time.

In the early spring of 2020, I bought a spring tractor seat from Mother Roads and it was (is) beautiful. In 2022 the comfort of that seat turned out to be my greatest upgrade for my 7500 mile trip(16 day trip) I would definitely recommend these seats. Especially for indian scout bobber owners.

So, I'll start by saying the customer service here is immaculate. I had a slight issue and it was resolved promptly. I absolutely love my new seats, they are comfortable and look great! If your considering getting seats for your bike, I'd highly recommend you give these folks a chance... you will not be disappointed.

I love their tooled leather products. I've surfed for a while looking for a company that had something that fit my style. The oak leaf pattern fit the bill. I ordered the spring seat, 2 PC mount and saddle bag. I went out and got my own chrome hardware to make the install look that much better.
I ordered the upgrade for 1" gel padding on the seat. Honestly, I could not compare the standard padding. What I can say is the spring seat is a big improvement for bumps compared to my mustang seat. I do wish the back of the seat curve up just an inch higher. I keep feeling like I might slide all the way off when accelerating.

Received my seat and P-pad, WOW! Unbelievable quality with service to match. From time order was placed to delivery of product was less than one week.
