I would truly like to thank Mike, Chris, Teddy, and the entire crew at Mike's Auto Works for All the work they did on my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee! Without having the confidence of their work, I would not have been able to take the trip that I did with this vehicle! It is very refreshing in a world of lack of customer service to be able to find a shop that has GREAT customer service and an honest approach to all their work, including a fair price.

My experience at Mike's auto works was outstanding, they were very thorough and precise. Explained everything to you as they went along. Very professional yet still kind and courteous and extremely friendly. In this day and age, it's hard to find a business that doesn't just treat you like a number. Mikes treat you like family.

Noticed a flat while I was camping at a nearby state park and swung in to the closest place to get my tire patched. Had a long wait before they could get to me and they recommended some places to hang out while I was stuck in Spring Grove.

When they got to me, they fixed my tire in an hour, we're incredibly courteous and I think every person in the shop had a chat with me to make sure everything went smoothly. Couldn't be happier with the service, especially unexpected service on a road trip.

Mike checked in with me a few months later to see everything was holding up. Really great group of people over there!

I recently moved to the area and I’m so happy that I found Mike’s Auto Works. The folks at Mike’s are so friendly, the service is excellent and the price is very reasonable. They even gave me a ride to and from my home while they worked on my car. It was easy to make an appointment online and their communication and follow up is excellent. They don’t recommend unnecessary services, and I trust them to keep my vehicle running at its best. I highly recommend Mike’s Auto Works!

I had a great experience at Mike's Auto when I went in for a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI). The team was incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. They were also exceptionally flexible with scheduling, accommodating my last-minute request without any hassle. The professionalism they demonstrated throughout the process gave me confidence, and they took the time to explain everything in detail. This experience starts with the manager asking if I wanted an alignment, then after 2+ hours he told me they wouldn't have time to do it. 2½ hours to mount four tires and install the TPMS Sensors when they said it'd be 1-1½ hours. But my bigger issue is being charged twice.

I don't put companies on blast very often, but I tried to make this right in the shop yesterday. And still got charged!

I bought my boyfriend's new tires from eBay, and purchased the installation ($99.96). Which I provided the email to Melissa at Mike's Auto Works in Spring Grove, IL while in shop to show it was already paid for and she basically shrugged, ignored it as she proceeded to charge me for installation which was $138.00. As this happened the manager Chris sat in his office and didn't get up to see the email, and basically said I was incorrect, they didn't get paid by the eBay seller and they were still intending to charge me..

Rather crappy that he didn't care to make it right, check into it further or even see what was happening. Some manager...

So now I've been charged $237.96 for installation of the tires..

I HIGHLY recommend Mike's -- they've always done fine work on my car over the past year, including complicated work on the electrical system. It's also great they work on all makes, foreign or domestic - amazing to have a quality auto repair shop like this in little Spring Grove.
