Business Hours are inaccurate, due to no one being at the shop in the middle of a business day.

New bike tires were installed & now I have a consistent front end wobble @60 mph & up. I immediately turned around after picking up my bike that was held for 35 days for minor repairs. I went back to the shop & let them look at it. They could not re-create the wobble (I assume due to weight proportion, as I have a small stature), thus they did nothing about it.

I took it to a new Shop 007 Cycles in Granite City & we discovered that the tires installed have a red dot on them for alignment with the valve stem. Neither the front or rear tires had that alignment. To counter it, Just Hawgs added a plethora of weights to balance both tires. & the rear tire was 2 years old. See pictures.

If you value your own safety or the safety of your kids, spouse, or anyone else that may ride on your bike, don’t take it to Just Hawgz.

They put new tires on my bike before I went on a 5 day ride in the hills of Arkansas. Long story short, they put the rear wheel back on incorrectly. In the middle of the ride I was hearing a rubbing noise and then lots of metal banging. Turns out the rub I was hearing was the sleeve in the axle. It was rubbing so bad you can see in the picture shared here how it was beginning to weld itself. After that I heard a lot of banging and my wheel began wobbling. I had the bike put on a flatbed because it was incredibly unsafe to ride through the twisty turns of Arkansas. You can see in the photo of my receipt from the Harley dealer, attached here also, where the tech indicated the wheel was put back together incorrectly. The tech there told me I was damned lucky and I should buy a lottery ticket. I could have been killed. The other picture shows the damage to the wheel.

My real problem is the owner of Just Hawgz total disregard. I told him about it and he got immediately defensive. Then I went in there with these pictures and my receipt and he got defensive again and began swearing at me. The correct response would have been something like “I’m sorry that happened to you. Sit down and let’s discuss it.

To the owner of Just Hawgz, like I said - you have till Friday June 7th to give me a satisfactory response or I’ll be talking about how your negligence put my life in jeopardy and all my time on the side of the road, loss of use of my bike now, since i shouldn't be riding it until the wheel is replaced,… You have everything I have. Im sure any reasonable unbiased arbitrator will call this a slam dunk in my favor. You can stop it before it gets more costly. And ironically, I was way willing to work with you on this, based on past service, till you got how you did - even after you put my life in jeopardy. It was pure negligence.

The sad thing is that they’ve done several things for me and my son in the past and we’ve always been happy. I wouldn’t even be complaining now if the owner would have just been polite and respectful. But he puts my life in danger and then proceeds to yell and cuss at me. He’s obviously a bad business man that cares more for his dollars and his ego than the safety of the people that put their trust in him. He’s lost my trust. The extra expense of a Harley dealer is worth it for my safety and the comfort of knowing they have qualified and capable techs.

Update - Just Hawgs never did reply to my Better Business Bureau complaint.

Then we went to small claims court today and the owner of Just Hawgs claimed they didn’t even have to take the spacer out that was put back in incorrectly when they changed my rear tire. I think he convinced the judge. But I’m not a mechanic, nor is the judge.

So I went home and purchased the OEM Harley Davidson Service Manual in pdf format for my motorcycle. Section 3.5, on page 3-15, addresses removing the rear wheel. You obviously need to remove the wheel to change the tire. Step f specifically indicates you have to remove the spacers. I sent the exact quote from the manual to the owner. Assuming his tech follows the service manual, the owner was not truthful in court today. We’ll see what happens next.

For the life of me, I just can’t understand how a company can put someone’s life in danger like they did and then respond as they have. Says all you need to know.

Working on my 96 softail that was damaged by an SUV .seem very knowledgeable, and the only ones that will work on older bikes that I know of. -edit they’ve had my bike since September and it is now February 29 and counting. They hardly picked the phone up.

I really cannot tell you about the quality of their work because my bike has been in their garage for six weeks now.
I’m sure if I was one of his buddies I would get instant service since that’s what I see every time I go into check.
Edit: after 3 months in I asked for my bike back and he agreed. When I came the next day the bike was finished. He had a good reason to have it late and the price was better than I thought it would have been.

Recently I had the pleasure of my first visit to Just Hawgs and WOW! After dealing with the bigger places in town what a breath of fresh air. Jason and his staff not only went out of their way to accommodate my needs, but also above and beyond all that was needed. No longer will I be seeking service for my ride, but from these gentlemen! Thank you for the great experience.

Great shop that can handle everything! Jason is a motorcycle genius and an all around honest good guy. I would trust him with anything! Glad to have such a great shop available here in St Louis!
