I have been to so many repair shops in CU over the past 25 years. ABSOLUTELY no one is better than Dyno Tune. First, every single person who works there is incredibly kind. Second, I don't know a ton about cars and they have never made me feel stupid. Everyone I have worked with has been incredibly patient and thorough in answering all of my questions with full detail. Multiple times when I've brought my car in for a particular repair they have done simple things free of charge, like tightening a serpentine belt or a clamp on a leaky antifreeze hose. I've had work done from a full transfer case replacement to a a simple sensor replacement and every single time their prices have been reasonable and the work completed on time. If they couldn't do it when they said they could, I've received phone calls explaining the hold up with an apology and a new estimate. I can not say enough good things about this shop. Please never close your doors!

I cannot speak highly enough of Drew and the team at Dyno-tune. We've been living in CU for about a month and were a little panicked about where to turn for a check engine light and discovery of burning oil. Drew got us in faster than I could have hoped and was very clear in communication about the problem and reccomended work. When I called 5 days later with a smoking alternator (unlucky coincidence), expecting to wait until the new year, they surprised us by squeezing us in as one of their last cars before the holiday.

5 stars all around for service, communication, responsiveness, and customer service. The price was reasonable for quality work with a quick turnaround.

They put new tires on my car, were extremely nice and respectful, and even fixed a little rattle I had without even being asked. I’d tell you what it was but I have no clue, some kind of metal shield. Great experience!

In contrast, I’ve had other mechanic shops treat me disrespectfully and try to upsell me on unnecessary stuff. Not here!

Would give this shop more than 5 stars if I could. I spent 25 years working in the auto repair business, both at a dealership & and in an independent shop, & this was the best service experience I've ever had since I retired. Drew gets it. Treat people right, take pride in your work & understand that the customer is what keeps the business going. I highly reccomend you give them a try next time you have car problems. Keep up the good work guys.

I had a great experience getting a four-wheel alignment done here. The service was excellent and the price was very reasonable.

They even went above and beyond by inspecting my Honda's chassis and reinstalling a metal sheet under my engine for free when they noticed some push pins were missing.

The staff are incredibly friendly, so I definitely recommend giving them a try.

These guys are excellent. My Mom and I were on I-74 on our way to Indianapolis, when part of our front bumper got dislodged and started dragging around the front left wheel of our car. We pulled in to this place at random, and they had it fixed for us within a half an hour. They were super nice and friendly while they were at it, too! Would recommend to anybody and everybody.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with Drew, Scott, and Clint at Dyno-Tune. I was a graduate student at UIUC driving a car older than most of the students in my program. They kept my '98 4Runner in great shape as it reached 240k miles during my time in town. They diagnosed and repaired many issues, some of which, other shops in the area wanted to fleece me for. They could usually get me schedule in the same week and always had the car finished on time. Best of all, they never tried to sell me on anything other than what needed to be done and even talked me out of some repairs that weren't quite necessary yet. On a grad student stipend, this was important. All told, Dyno-tune is one of the businesses I'll miss most from Urbana. Thanks guys!
