We had been looking for a good pair of steel toe work shoes for a bit. Shoes from the other stores lasted about 2 months and they wore out, or the selection was slim on the shoe option. I took a chance and looked at Dunhams. Found the best pair of steel toe work shoes I have ever owned!

My husband and I came to the store to buy guns for our shooting date which we have done in the past. My husband picked out a gun and filled out the background check, but the manager entered something wrong and it was denied. She admitted that it was her fault and he was told to come back in 30 days to buy it. No apologies. When I went to buy my gun, the same manager said she would not sell me anything because my husband was denied even though it was her fault. She was very rude through all of this. We left and went over to Fleet Farm and purchased our guns there instead. We will never go back.

Manager Luke will imply that you are a liar when his staff makes a mistake that costs you 5 in a half hours of driving and $40 in gas. Yesterday my husband called Janesville Dunham's and asked if they had roller skates with 2 wheels in front and the 2 in back because his Autistic daughter can't use roller blades. The employee said "No we don't have any of those, we only have inline skates, I don't know what to tell you man, roller skating is popular and we don't have any of those in stock." So my husband called all around and ended up driving 4 hours round trip from Monroe to Racine. When he gets home we see that Racine gave him size 9 mens for me, but his daughter's pair are right. So my husband calls Luke and asks if we can exchange them for inline skates because the employee said yesterday they don't have old school roller skates in Janesville. So Luke says we can do that but we do have the old styles skates here. My husband says are you kidding me I just drove 4 hours to Racine because your staff yesterday told me you didn't have them. Luke says go ahead and bring them back we can exchange them for the blades, so the whole family drives another 45 mins to Janesville and Luke goes back on what he said wanting full price for the blades and implying that my husband was lying about what his staff said yesterday. Then Luke makes comments like, there's not a wasted 5 hours of customer time button on the register, calls my husband a loud mouth, and states that he didn't "send" us to Racine. Then they push us out the store without an apology about their staff incompetence and with no new skates. My husband could have come back to town for a refund on Mon if Luke hadn't lied about the exchange. Luke said he didn't realize price difference on an exchange. Trust me take your business elsewhere.

Apparently the manager kiersten and the gm Peter do not know Wisconsin gun laws the way they should to be operating a store that sells firearms. Went in to purchase a firearm and the manager Kirsten did something wrong on her end that made it so I couldn’t purchase a firearm from Dunhams for 20 days. I just purchased a firearm there 3 months ago no problems, she didn’t even seem sorry just seemed glad that she didn’t have to do her job!! My wife went in to purchase a pistol and was berated by her about her not being able to by a gun either that this was a straw purchase! First of all I was not denied via my background check so they are just profiling me,second of all my wife is a legal gun owner who avidly shoot’s herself and was making a purchase for herself was also denied her 2nd amendment right to bear arms! I’m so disappointed and dissatisfied with the way she was treated I will never step foot in this store again! For those who don’t know a straw purchase is someone purchasing a gun for someone who is legally unable to possess/carry, which I am not and the purchase was not for her to give me Smfh berry unpleasant people to deal with the gm Peter even hung up on my wife when she started reading him the gun laws they are so unprofessional there it isn’t funny, I highly recommend no one shop here!
