I wouldn't trust anyone else to repair my shoes. I bought a pair of leather boots. Half of the sole became detached. He repaired my boots and polished them.

I took my husband’s favorite casual shoes to get the soles replaced a couple of weeks ago. The shoes weren’t expensive to begin with (maybe $50-75 from DSW), but the leather uppers were still in great condition after several years of use and they were his favorite shoes. They said they couldn’t match the tread color, which was completely understandable because they were originally orange. I was told they would be done in two weeks and left not really knowing what exactly we would be picking up, but knowing the cost. I have to say, I am THOROUGHLY impressed with the work!! They picked a tread that makes the shoes look like they came that way….and even much better than the original! I buy pricier, well-built shoes and boots for myself with the hopes of getting them repaired rather than replaced when needed, and I will definitely be trusting all of their repairs to Dick’s in the future!

Dick's always does an excellent job with the services I've purchased in the past. I've had him do re-soling, synthetic soles, refurbishing, repair work on leather uppers, conditioning, and he always seems to know exactly what he's doing and has good suggestions. I've been using his place for multiple years and I've never been unhappy with the work. Unfortunately, he's the only good shoesmith in town (or the only one at all), to my knowledge, so I generally end up waiting at least two weeks for, sometimes, very basic tasks to be performed. I don't fault him, but it is somewhat inconvenient. Also, the prices are extremely reasonable, which probably also feeds the demand that keeps his schedule super busy.

I just had 2 pairs of boots repaired. Red Wing Iron rangers and a pair of leather soled cowboy boots. The work done was perfect, and extremely well priced. I'd recommend this place to anyone

Best, maybe only place in Springfield to get shoe repair. He does a great job always. I've had shoe repaired there for at least 15 years, the shoes LwYs look great. He's repIredKeens, Birkies, leather shoes, et . Fixed trim and soles, repaired a couple of purse straps for me. If he ever closes I will be up a creek and really unhappy. Prices are more than fair and workmanship is excellent!!

I took in a pair of worn out boots that I am not ready to part with and he fixed them. Almost felt new again!! And it was astonishly cheap!!
