Cambridge Shoe & Luggage Repair did a nice job repairing the worn down heels on 3 of my pairs of boots - I dropped them off on Monday afternoon and they were ready by Friday afternoon. All 3 pairs have beautifully repaired heels, but I dropped a star because the shop smells very strongly of cigarette smoke, and now my suede boots also smell like stale cigarette smoke. I’ll leave them on the covered porch for a few days and I’m sure it will be fine, but this is definitely not ideal and be careful especially if you’re sensitive to smoke smells.

I came here with two pairs of boots that both needed significant repair and am so glad I did! I was hesitant with some of the bad reviews but I was extremely happy with how my boots turned out. One pair needed a new zipper, elastic repair on the calf, and new stitching in several places. The other pair needed a new zipper or so I thought but the gentleman told me he could fix the zipper and he did! I am so glad I found a place that has such a knowledgeable professional who takes care to think about the best way to fix things. Both pairs of boots are over 15 years old but feel and look brand new. And the price is much more reasonable than others in the area.

Such a wonderful hidden gem in Cambridge. I took my son’s sneakers that broke after using them twice. The owner fixed them within 24h and they are as good as new now. The owner also didn’t want to get paid, such an honest person.

I have been a customer for a long time.
I asked if a squeak in a shoe could be fixed, and they said yes and took the shoe. I paid $15 for its repair, and when I got home and wore it, the sole totally separated from the shoe on the first day, rendering it unwearable. I asked for a credit for another repair, if not the refund that I paid, and was denied both.

Paid 25 dollars for a zipper repair. Wasn't quite right the first time but the owner redid it for no extra cost and it's held up great for the past year.

Took a bag here to get the zipper fixed. They charged $20 to replace the slider on the zipper and gave me a week turnaround time on the repair. Was fixed when they said it would be and works great. Shop reeks of cigarettes though and my fabric bag came home smelling strongly of it. Will probably use again for non fabric items.

I took a pair of vintage Dr. Martens sandals (>30 years old) to be repaired and they did an excellent job of restoring these shoes. The entire insole had to be taken out and he made me new custom ones. When I came in to pick up the sandals he had me try them on a few times so he could alter t them to fit perfectly. I’m very happy with the quality of service and the turnaround time (about 2 weeks)! I’ve already recommended this store to some friends.
