While visiting family in the Chicago area I needed to have a low tire pressure investigated/fixed. On Monday afternoon I came to the nearest Toyota dealership to my location, the Libertyville Toyota dealership. I went inside and explained my problem with the tire pressure, left the key fob with the truck, and was told to wait inside the dealership. About an hour later I was told the problem was found (a nail) and fixed (plugged) and I was ready to go. I paid at the desk and walked back out to the service bay to pick up my truck and again waited several minutes. A service representative looked in a couple key boxes and could not find my keys. I was told to again wait inside while they brought my truck around. I again went inside and waited quite a while with no information on what was happening. Eventually, someone came over to me and asked if anyone told me what the problem was, I said no, and I was told they could not located my keys. I was shocked and furious. I was eventually told the keys had been located, they had been dropped into a different customer's vehicle, who had already gone home. I was astonished at the nonchalant attitude of the representatives, who said the customer was coming back but he lived about 15 minutes away. I was so angry at their attitude and careless handling of my keys. The representative could tell I was upset and offered to comp some future routine vehicle checkup that happens between oil changes. I explained I was not local so the offer for future service was not acceptable, I wanted the tire fix cost refunded (it was less than $40). By Wednesday I still had not received a charge reversal on my payment (credit card), I expressed my displeasure and was told it takes a week for refunds. This was unacceptable, other major retailers reverse charges much faster than a week, I wanted the matter settled before I started back home to Arizona. On Thursday I received an email that the charge reversal had been entered manually and it finally showed up on my credit card statement on Friday. After they key was returned, all the payment drama could have been avoided if a quick refund on the spot happened, it was less than $40 and I'm pretty sure they could round up the cash to make that transaction. It was not like I was returning a new vehicle or it was a big service charge. I have not been as disrespected as with this whole transaction and the overall attitude of the dealership. My quick fix took almost two hours, one of those two hours wondering if I would ever see my keys again. I will never go to the Libertyville Toyota dealership again!

Had to wait and wait at check in counter. Service texts at drive in were great. Fast. Oil and battery change took 2+ hours. Drove away only to find my radio was still in computer mode. Went back, first tech clueless but found someone who fixed it.

Staff are friendly and professional. I was in for an oil change and they sent me a video with comments regarding the undercarriage of my car. The place does get busy on Saturdays, so it took 2 hours. Waiting area is comfortable.

I just bought a used vehicle and was planning on picking it up later in the week. As they were detailing my car the service department discovered an issue with a seal around my windshield. They clearly communicated the issue and time frame for repair. They also replaced the windshield wipers as a preventative measure. I cannot recommend the dealership and the service department highly enough! 5 star experience!

I liked the affordable oil change with the coupon. I just feel that this location recommends more service work than other Toyota locations in the area. I could see why AutoNation offers oil changes as a loss leader to get people to come in and get more service work done. Other dealers won't match the discounted price for an oil change, they indicated that they don't know how AutoNation could provide such a steep discount.
