When it comes to upgrading motorcycle seats, let me tell you, Alligator Bob's is where dreams come true—well, dreams for your derriere, anyway. I sent in the seat for my 2024 Indian Roadmaster, and wow, did they deliver! Bob and his wife are like wizards of the posterior realm. They added ProPad with existing heat for me and my passenger, carved out a magical tailbone relief zone (seriously, it’s like they knew my tailbone’s darkest secrets), and reused the stock cover.
Not only did they work their magic with a quick turnaround, but they also treated me like royalty—no throne, but definitely a seat fit for one. And now, after putting 700 blissful miles on this beauty, I can confidently say that my rear end has never been happier. The dreaded tailbone pain? Vanished like bad Wi-Fi during Netflix night.
If you’ve ever fantasized about spending entire days on your bike without feeling like you’ve been tortured by the seat of doom, this is your sign to call Bob. Great seats from a great guy. Bob was extremely helpful in designing an extremely comfortable seat that would look excellent with my Indian Springfield Darkhorse. Quick turnaround on the seat and you couldn't ask for better quality.
I purchased 2 other used seats of his after wards then looked for motorcycles to put under them. I've had most of the good aftermarket seats, but they can't compare to the look, craftsmanship of a handmade seat from Alligator Bob Martin. They improve both the look and quality of the ride.

I have known Alligator for several years and he has done 2 seats for me. The first one was just his pro pad insert following a custom design afterwards. However, I never did it since I sold that bike. My second bike pictured here, I have sat down with him and we came up a design of a complete reconstruction of the seat itself. We were able to eliminate the backrest since he raised the back up a couple inches. This seat has two pro pads inserted, drivers and passenger. The seat then is covered with real African Nile crocodile and African large quilled ostrich.

To answer your question, do I feel the nubs from the crocodile when I sit on it? The answer is absolutely not. However, this seat indeed, is very comfortable. Now for the back pad on the trunk. The original pad was only 12” wide tapered down and made it very uncomfortable for my wife. I was able to find a different pan and Bob then recovered the new pan with a soft foam and padding for a comfortable sitting position.

You can look at his pictures of his work all day long but to really appreciate his work of over 40 years of experience, is to actually see it in person. All of his seats are a one of a kind. You will never see a seat that has been duplicated. There are always a little differences. Now he does only deal with the finest materials such as high grades of Italian leathers and the best exotics skins.

I have been in his shop multiple times and have seen all of his skins that he has hanging on the walls such as alligator, crocodile, ostrich, shark, elephant, water buffalo, and snake. I may possibly have forgotten some but I will leave it up to him to discuss it with you.

There are a few choices that you have. Either you mail the seat to him in a box or drop it off personally. Or if you’re really serious leave your bike there for a total work of art. But I will tell you this, whatever you want, he can design and create it. Your bike will definitely be show quality and a lot of people will admire your bike. So to sum it all up, i would definitely recommend him to anyone. His work is known though out the whole world and I will let him do the seat of my other bike.

If your search is global, you will not find a better motorcycle customizer. I had Bob's work on my bucket list for almost 4 years before finally reaching out to him with my ideas to customize my Indian Springfield.
I told him my vision for seats and he exceeded my expectations. I get comments about my bike every time I take it out. I highly recommend Alligator Bob, he's the BEST!

Bob's work is the best. I have had 3 seats done by him over the years and some other leather work. The carved skull seat is nearly 20 years old and still looks great. The latest on my Indian is the most comfortable seat I have ever ridin on!!!
